WYnet is a trade name of Wycliffe Bible Translators,
Inc. (“Wycliffe and Affiliates”). The
WYnet Online Community (chat rooms and bulletin boards)
is a place for WYnet members to gather and interact.
Please take a look at our guidelines.
If someone is breaking the rules or is making you
feel uncomfortable, notify wynet_usa@wycliffe.org
and wynet_uk@wycliffe.org.
1. Please do not share your personal
information (last names, street addresses, phone numbers,
school names, and locations, parent’s name(s),
Social Security Numbers, on the discussion board or
chat rooms.
2. Do not share details about trips that you will
be attending – do not share specifics about
when you are leaving, where you will be staying, etc.
3. Never agree to meet someone in person who talks
to you online. This is not safe, so never plan to
do it.
4. Please watch your language. Don’t swear or
use initials, blanks, or *&)#@ to try to hide
such words.
5. Don’t scroll or flood the screen (scrolling
is when a guest hits the ENTER key or repeats a message
over and over so that the chat screen messages move
too fast for others to see.)
6. Please do not shout… typing in all CAPS is
considered “shouting” on line.
7. Do not harass, abuse or threaten other members.
Respect others and their thoughts.
8. Do not be harassed. If someone is harassing you,
don’t respond in the same way. You can block
that person and notify the moderator/host.
9. Don’t post copyrighted content without permission
from the owner.
10. Please do not use this site to advertise your
own site or to sell any goods or services.
11. Please choose a screen name that is in good taste.
We reserve the right to reject your choice if it is
not representative of Wycliffe and Affiliates.
12. Wycliffe and Affiliates reserves the right to
edit content in our community. Postings that violate
the Membership Agreement may be removed and access
to the online community withheld.
The Moderators volunteer their time to keep WYnet
a fun and safe place to be. They are your authority
and you need to respect them. Moderators will do their
best to make sure that chat rooms and bulletin boards
are protected.
You can tell who is a moderator in our chat rooms
– their name will appear in “green.”
The chat room is NOT moderated if no one is online
with a “green” name.
We encourage you to use caution or leave the chat
room if a moderator is not present. Administrators
have access to view all bulletin board items and private
messages.
If you have any questions about the guidelines that
we have established, or if you have any suggestions
or complaints, please email us at wynet_usa@wycliffe.org
This is your place to GET CONNECTED!
Have fun!!
